The Jazz Alliance Big Band is a 19-piece jazz orchestra based in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, dedicated to preserving and performing the timeless music of the Big Band era. Founded in 2008, the ensemble brings together talented professional musicians and accomplished community members who share a passion for classic jazz.
Under the direction of Joe Thordsen and Lisa Northcutt, the Jazz Alliance Big Band performs throughout Middle Tennessee at concerts, festivals, dances, and community events. From Glenn Miller and Count Basie to Duke Ellington and modern jazz favorites, every performance is designed to entertain audiences of all ages.
